Dedicated to the memory of Judy Thompson

This page is a tribute to Judy, who was born in Singapore on 6th November 1964. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Judy was born to parents Sheila and William Thompson. Bill was stationed there whilst a member of the Royal Marines.

After some time the three returned to England where Judy was joined by brother, Michael and sister, Sharon. The family eventually settled in Poole, Dorset.

Judy began her own family, giving birth to Zoe, her daughter.

Shortly after, Judy relocated to Lincoln where they welcomed the addition to the family of Nicholas. With great heartbreak, Nick passed away before his first birthday, something Judy never really found easy to reconcile.

Eventually Judy met and fell in love with Terry. They formed a close and loving relationship that endured until Judy's death.

Judy took her Amature Radio exam in June 2009 and followed her Dad into a hobby that Judy loved. She made many friends through Ham Radio and became heavily involved with the RAF Waddington Amature Radio Club. She joined the committee and took responsibility for organising functions, club trips and regular talks for the club. M6LQO will be dearly missed on the air in Lincolnshire and around the world.

Judy volunteered for NRAS (National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society) for ten years, fundraising and running the Lincoln Support Group. The Charity was always close to Judy's heart.

With that in mind, Terry, Sharon, Zoe and family kindly ask you make a donation via the link instead of contributing flowers. All donations of any amount can make a huge difference to people just like Judy.

From all of us, thank you so much.

Judy, you are missed beyond your wildest imagination, you leave behind you an ocean of love, filled with loyal but broken hearts at your loss.

Sleep well my love. Until we are together again.
